I wanted to share something with you and your readers.<br />I have been recycling - upcycling for years, now, but this Holiday Season I decided to take it a step further. I have been collecting gift wrap, ribbons, bows, boxes, etc. for years as my family opens their gifts and reusing them, but, each year, I felt like I needed to buy "just a few more boxes," or "just one more roll of paper," but this year, I didn't. (You should understand that I do many crafts, so these items were in several different rooms in my house.) So, I gathered them all together, organized them, and realized I didn't need to buy ANY paper, bows, etc. As usual, I first wrapped the smaller items with leftover paper bits - I even did one large box with a patchwork quilt of paper! Then, I wrapped the larger gifts with paper I bought in previous years, then I went one step further - when I gathered the gifts for the separate families they were to go to, I put each family's gifts in a reusable shopping bag - with a note asking them to keep the bag in their car and use it when they went shopping! Everyone loved this idea and I've convinced a couple more people to save their gift wrap and bows for me instead of throwing them away this year :-) Happy New Year to Everyone :-)April Iris McLeodhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12741715925116264819noreply@blogger.com
